Fireworks Grand Finale On New Years Eve 2010 - 2011 In Baltimore, Md. As Seen from Western Dundalk
Here are the final 55 seconds of Baltimore, Maryland's Inner Harbor fireworks display held on New Year's Eve 2010 - 2011. I shot the video at about 4 miles from the barges the fireworks were shot off from. I was just inside southeastern Balto. City, about 200 yards from the western edge of Dundalk, Md.. Baltimore's fireworks displays are visible from many different neighborhoods in and close to Dundalk.

Setting Up Dundalk Maryland's 2006 4th of July Fireworks Display
I have to make sure that all of you readers know that no fireworks are in those tubes.
The explosives were still in the back of the truck that the stuff was transported in when the little girl and I were up there talking to the guys setting up the show. The girl in the photos is the daughter of the man on the left. They are my cousins. That's little Kelsey and her dad Kevin.
It wouldn't be bad if it was just me up there taking photos and the mortar tubes had already been loaded up with fireworks shells, because I did two years in the Army. I used to go on Army photo assignments to missile sites where there were Nike Hercules Missiles with nuclear war heads on them - I even patted one on the nose one time just so I could always be able to say I did it. I know how to be safe around any kind of explosives by following the directions of the pros on site, and I feel comfortable around explosives.
Photographs by David Robert CrewsONE MORE TIME, BEFORE SOMEBODY GETS IT WRONG--THE FIREWORKS CREW ONLY ALLOWED THE LITTLE GIRL AND I TO GO NEAR THE MORTAR TUBES BECAUSE THEY WERE EMPTY AND THE LIVE FIREWORKS SHELLS WERE STORED OVER IN THE BACK OF A TRUCK THAT YOU COULD HAVE DRIVEN RIGHT NEXT TO YOU THAT DAY WHEN IT WAS ON THE WAY TO THE SHOW.
